The biggest reason we did not get a new 4Runner and replaced it with a truck, was the other vehicle we had. Wife has a Venza which is a perfect all weather road trip car. Am disappointed that Toyota is dropping the Venza but can understand why. They are too freak'n expensive for a car that has not changed design since 2009. Mechanically and chassis
Wise it's fine. But it is nearly the price of a larger Highlander which it is based on. It can't complete with an Outback which is thousands less. We like ours cause it does trip very well and replaces the 4 Runner for that. The dealer knew I was looking at Outbacks so he made us an offer we could not refuse.

Sucks putting a snowmobile in the back of an SUV. Really sucks.

You get a free snowmobile with a new Tacoma and 4Runner? Big oversight to give you something you can't even get home. Plus, everyone knows you can't hook a trailer up to a 4Runner.

Even when I was younger with my previous trucks I always used a trailer to haul my dirt bikes, unloading and loading to a lifted truck really, really sucks. :bikewhoops:

If I fill up my 250 and then drive it straight down a hill the computer says I get 27mpgs.

I still think 22 is not enough. My point was I would not buy an SUV over a truck when the SUV gets comparable Mpgs. Especially when I can get an F150 for less with better mileage.

You must do mostly highway driving with mileage like that.

    I was being facetious.

Within a week, I expect to be a 4Runner owner again, BTW. SUV just fits my family's needs better.

As was I ;-) That's 's why no real argument was made......" 4 Runners are for " girly men" ..another attempt at humor, which probably failed. But, I do see many more women driving 4 Runners % wise then Tacos. Congratulation on the new 4 Runner !

Yeah, I have a trailer for the sleds, but sometimes I travel solo and when a weekend of riding means 500 miles of driving to camp up north, sometimes it's nice to ditch the trailer and haul the mail with the sled in the bed. It's easy to load when there are snowbanks everywhere. Mileage suffers very little in comparison to the trailer.

Disagree somewhat. Had 5 toyotas over the years, keeping each one several years and never had to add oil between oil changes, ever.
Had one subaru that the wife drove. A POS that sucked oil like a glutton. never have another subaru

I never had to add oil to my Subaru, Hyundai, Toyota, mazda either, but when I randomly checked the oil, the lowest I found was 1/2 quart low during an oil change.

again all vehicles burn thru oil, some more than others. just because you never had to add oil between oil changes doesn't mean the engine doesn't burn thru some oil. the oil that was burned up wasn't enough to set off the sensor.

Not saying an engine doesn't burn a bit. Pretty normal, just saying it's not enough to even notice on the dipstick let alone set off the sensor. Never been a half quart low by oil change time, not even close.

Down here in Ga 4 runners are around 10 grand more. I wanted a truck and my wife wanted the suv. Made it easier to make my case for a Tacoma.
