I am on my third Tacoma. Been driving them since 97, 3 of them. Never ever had to have any repairs required outside of a couple of recalls. Just normal oil changes, front end alignments, routine maintenance. I also didn’t modify any of them which appears to be the root of a lot of problems.
At 20,000 sales per month the vast majority must be satisfied. In reality considering the number out there, there aren’t that many people complaining.
The haters and complainers are definitely a small minority.

It’s like working beside negative people, if you let them they will drag you down to their level.

Some of what you say is true about people aren't happy they post about it but you are wrong about people that are happy don't post and that's not the case people post about there pictures of there truck and where they been as well as what they have added so there are people that post happy stuff.

Yeah I actually got off TW for about a year because all the negative threads started to make me paranoid about every squeak and sound I’d hear on my truck.
I actually started to look for negatives because of complaints.

Buying a Tacoma because my last car before it was unreliable and years of expense in repairs
I started to question the reliability and started to enjoy the truck less out of worry since most of the threads were negative.

It wasn’t until meeting a lot of TW members in person that I realized most of them were really happy and loved their truck, just most of em never really voiced that on the threads.

Past Tacomas along with Toyota (legendary) quality standards set a high bar, so when there's a stitch out of place on the backseat headrest, it means the transmission will grenade soon.

There there. Your transmission will learn to behave over time
