A couple months ago Longo only had 2 Access Cabs out of 120 trucks.

Here's mine!! 2017 TRD Sport 4x4 MT. I was specific that I wanted an access cab, v6, MT and 4x4.. so that meant it had to be a TRD Sport!! I love it.

    ACLB all the way!

Lots of people THINK they need a DC and then their back seats just fill up with garbage.

Ha! That is my exact truck. Well not anymore, since I've added/tweaked some things, but originally. Had to come from almost 400 miles away, and the dealer DROVE the damn thing up. They said they wouldn't transport unless it was 500+ miles out. Nothing like getting a "new" vehicle with almost 400 miles on the clock, especially a MT vehicle.

Access cabs! For when you want the option to take extra passengers, but never feel obligated.

Those are nice. SUV of the year I think.
Honda's are always reliable. Had a few Civics and still have them in the household along with a Pilot. I like the new 6 speed hatch myself but not too keen on the electric hand brake.

I love my 2017 access cab. It took 2 weeks to have my local dealer get it transferred from another dealer. Rockford-Fosgate Compact sub under driver seat. LED low beam and high beams installed. The SCS wheels are great. New all terrains in a few weeks. Bilstein 5100s in the spring. Custom fabricated sliders are in-process now.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I also, like many, really like my 17 AC. It took me 7-8 weeks to get it to the dealer --I do not regret that wait one bit.
My true feeling is that Toyota is quietly trying to do away with the AC's. They are doing this by making less and less AC's therefore making them less available at the dealers. In this "I gotta have it now and I can't wait to get exactly what I want/need society"
Toyota is very aware of this mentality and they are using it to gradually do away with the AC's. Look what they did with the Standard Cabs. Toyota is not the only mfr. that is doing this marketing ploy. The only reason there is any AC's at other brands is that they (others) are afraid they will lose out on a sale.
    Just my opinion!

Why don't you just have your dealer find you exactly what you want in the color/options you want -- and just be patient --you will be happier in the long run. Do what I did and figure the EXACT truck you want and send out requests to several dealers -- see what you get back. I got my 17 Blue 4x4 AT SR5 AC with ONLY Tow pkg. for $30,575.
This is what my truck cost me. This does not include any sales taxes, as this varies from state to state.

That's how I feel about The 6MT. RAM for example, doesn't offer a true extended cab anymore, only two sizes of crew Cabs.

I'd guess trucks are morphing away from just working vehicles into more utilitarian purposes, the DC allows me to have a truck where it otherwise wouldn't be as practical. You just don't see many AC trucks anymore with DCs being on offer.

I also think it has something to do with CAFE, not 100% sure but I think more interior volume allows them to have an overall lower MPG which would also explain the damn near elimination of single cabs.

I wish Toyota would make a Tacoma with the regular cab, V6, and a seven foot bed like the pre Tacoma 4X4s. I would buy one in a heart beat! I do miss my 2011 regular cab.

Yeah, this photo is a little old now.. I've done a couple things as well. Like a PRO grill haha.
It would make me a little nervous that they drove my MT 400 miles! But I'm sure it all worked out and now you've got a sweet truck.
