Why do get into these pissing matches. I love my access cab and I don’t like the double cabs. If you love the double cabs I’m happy for you. To each his/her/other their own.

Any mention of MT or AC in a thread title on TW results in an immediate giant circle jerk every time. OP you are having a hard time finding an AC cuz most people want DC. My work here is done.

I am wrong about at that difference. It is a good deal less than 13in because of the extra space taken up by the storage / subwoofer behind the DC seat backs.

    Just sayin'.

By the specs, it's about 8" of legroom. Which is a significant difference. i.e. the back seat of a Tundra Crewmax or F150 crewcab has 8" of more room than a Tacoma. I feel cramped in the Taco where I've got legroom for days in the Tundra/F150. You lose some headroom, hip, shoulder room as well. But if you're not carrying passengers, the bed space is a good tradeoff.

I didn't have a problem getting mine, but it did have to be rerouted. It was originally intended to go to the mid-west somewhere, before it was built.

Haha! The rear of an F-150 crew is more of a living room than a back seat. I like the smaller cab of the Taco than the front or back of the F-150. Just way too much room.

Yeah, that is a thing for me.

I agree that you do not have much legroom in the back of an AC, but I do fit back there pretty well. Another 8in was not worth the trade off, for me, with either the DCSB or DCLB.

This comment crushed me... I live in Buffalo NY... I'm so close to Canada but only had the option of buying the sport in the new generation (wanted MT with AC). After I traded in my old 07 off road MT access cab in red, I wanted the exact same truck just new. I got the closest thing - inferno sport MT AC but its not exactly the same. I mean I don't think about it daily since I never used the locker on my old one (07 AC MT). Its the principal of the thing.. I'm 10 minutes away but the hassle would have been insane.

I've heard that it's not too hard to buy vehicles between US/Canada, so you might have a chance if you ever need that locker.
