I don't understand why OEM the plastic cover that goes on the heritage toyota grill is extremely more expensive than aftermarket ones. OEMS go for no less that $250 and thats on ebay, from dealers ive seen them priced at 350. AFM ones go for approximately $30 I mean arent they just both plastic covers. Im a wrong is there something im not aware besides the fact that the afm ones look shiny, any other major difference? Do the afms perhaps affect the performance of the sensor? [IMG]

In 2019 I paid $225 for oem pro grill and garnish. I'm not sure why the price has gone up so much.
I can tell you that many of the aftermarket ones cause issues, but with the current prices I'd certainly find a reputable aftermarket supplier to try.

The better question is why can’t aftermarket make one that doesn’t look so fake. It’s not hard…

Same reason why crush washers for the diff plugs are almost 2 bucks a piece from a dealer and 23 cents from a transmission and gear shop.

My cheap ass made in Chi-com garnish plate has never given me a single issue. I'm convinced it's luck of the draw with those damn things.

The type of filler used in the plastic can affect the radar, the darker the black the more likely it will obstruct
