3g forum seems to be full of people who dont own and obviously never want to own a 3g taco. If they hate it so much why are they even here? If I am not mistaken there are forums specific to those exact gen of trucks. Just seems to me people just want to come here and talk about how horrible these new trucks are.

Seems they want to hang around and continually berate these new trucks....heck we even have ford owners contaminating this forum. I know there are tons of ford forums on the web...especially repair forums.

The difference in price is only a few thousand dollars.

I doubt that. But whatever you say buddy.

To express disappointment...opinions... idk, why do football fans rag on the team they root for?

I'm still mixed on the truck, trying my best to like it. I'm a fan of the Taco, but can't help that i feel that they blew it on the front-end.

The forum is not titled "Positive 3rd gen comments only." It's talk about the 3rd gen, period. With that said, I do feel there are too many overly negative comments.

It's not so much the hating that bugs me, but the immense immaturity and blatant disrespect some people display. But yeah, I get your point OP.

I think it is mostly dumbass, nonsensical comments like this that create blood in the water.

Aside from this dumbass comment, there have been many many many other dumbass comments and wild speculation (or lack of paying attention and new members actually looking for information before asking the same questions over and over again. And again. And again.

So, there are, indeed, lots of dumbasses on this forum, regardless of which kind of truck they have or would like to purchase.

Dumbasses attract drama, and drama begets more dumbasses.

Although I have to admit that at least the dumbassery is about trucks and not about V-neck shirts or my girlfriend shit in my Rice Krispies OMG OMG would would you do? So credit is due to all you fucktards for that. Amen.

If people start threads where it is clear they have actually try to educate themselves before posting, you'll generally find better responses and behavior and respect.

Let's just wait and see how well they sell. That will be the determination of how the new design is accepted. If it is perceived ugly, no one will buy it. If the design is well accepted, it will sell like hot cakes. No one will buy a truck they consider poorly designed and downright ugly.

That's just stupid. Are you really categorizing everyone with criticism of the '16 as "jealous?" Were we all just suppose to be Toyota's little bitch, get down on our knees and thank the lord for whatever they put out?

I have to admit I was a gen 3 hater and got my 15 in April just could look past the front but everthing else is growing on me. The main reason I didn't wait to compare 15 with 16 is. Nothing is time tested no one has any (electrical) mods that are proven to work. Engine maybe a good one but is all opinions and BS! Most of the improvements can be done to the 15 and a 10 year track record is hard to past up. I plan to keep my truck 10-15 years. All the new tech is nice but nothing is built to last anymore TW is full of ways to fix gen2 truck.

The only nerve is that Kyle is a persistent debater of all things pointless.

The difference in price is literally a few thousand dollars from the previous model year. If you think nobody can afford an extra $30 a month or $2k in cash on top of $25-38k already saved in cash to buy the truck then you're pretty out of touch with reality.

News flash: 2016 Tacoma is still a Toyota, still an entry to mid level automotive brand, and the Tacoma, even in top trim (Limited) is still a pig with lipstick.

"people can't afford them," is the dumbest thing I've read.

I don't know about all that "money" and "wanting what they can't have" nonsense from my end. I would imagine it is the case for some. However, it may also have to do with the fact of certain change, not just change in general. I think the new truck looks good, but what started off as a small truck capable of anything with decent gas mileage has turned into a modern "pretty" truck. That's just how I feel. I wouldn't buy a new one because I need to have a truck that I can use and abuse and not feel like I'm destroying a work of art. I feel like most people loved the original and it's become a different truck entirely. But I guess everyone has a different reason to dislike something new.
