    LOL....I am not concerned in the least. Like I said my 05 DCLB 4X4 is sitting in my garage right now. I have no doubt that I will love this new truck every bit as much as I love my 05 taco...no matter who says what...I form my own opinions on everything in my life

    I had a Gen 1(98). I have a Gen 2(08). I like the 3rd Gen so and unless I can wait 10 more years with my 08 I'll likely have one(18). Soooo:rolleyes:

    The ability to disagree in a civilized manner, avoiding offensive language and personal insults, is a mark of maturity. Less obviously, it's also a mark of confidence in yourself and your own thinking.

    If those who insult each other on this forum were sitting at a table with each other, the discourse would be very different. What does that say?

    What has been will be again,
    what has been done will be done again;
    there is nothing new under the sun.

    This has been going on since the beginning of Toyota. I checked out the archives over at Tacoma World's sister site Toyoda Loom World. In the late 1800's people bought the first Toyoda wooden hand looms, and they thought those looms were the bee's knees. The hand loom enthusiasts came up with cool and innovative mods to make their looms better and more individually suited to their needs and tastes.

    In1896 Toyoda invented the Toyoda Power Loom, though the buyers of the new more technological looms loved them for their advancements and style, the first gen wooden looms owners bashed the new looms as ugly and garbage. The first genners had a point as the new looms were not what they were used to seeing and were largley unproven. The second genners quickly found there were design flaws and started sharing how to fix and mod their looms to perform better, sometimes even proving to have better ideas than the original concept. Even though on the forum people would ask over and over "which after market shuttle should I put on my 1898 automatic loom?" The forum provided much useful information to repairing and upgrading their looms.

    In1924 Sakichi Toyoda completed the non-stop shuttle change type Toyoda automatic loom (Type G) and the cycle started over with one exception, now the first and second genners (although still not in agreement of which loom was better 1st or 2nd gen) fully agreed that the newest 3rd gen loom was crap! The 3rd genners were so enamored with their looms, they felt they were the cats pajamas, so much so, that they completely and blatantly ignored any and all shortcomings to the latest additions to the loom industry. Anyone who critiqued the new looms were immediately attacked as if someone were teasing their children. All the while the first and second genners were just airing their opinions on the perceived flaws of the new looms, based on their real world knowledge and experience. This pattern continued to play out over and over throughtout the continued growth of Toyoda/Toyota especially as it moved into the automobile industry.

    So you see, this is all part of the process of new change that has been around for years, and will continue to perpetuate for years to come. In conclusion, no one needs to get butt hurt, haters gonna hate, and in the immortal words of Sergeant "Big Toe" Hulka: Lighten up, Francis.

    That is all,
    Carry on

    yes....I hate all fords. I commute with a work buddy of mine. We alternate driving every day. There is a particularly rough set of RR tracks on the way. My 05 taco rolls over solid as a rock....absolutely no rattles. His 2013 f150 sounds like a bucket of marbles every time we hit those same tracks....I am embarrassed for him

    Good point. It's not enough to know it's hot as balls out there in the sand box. They need to know just how hot those balls are :laugh:
