Flood corporate with complaints about gas mileage, lack of options on previous years models and plastic tabs on the new bumper? They'll jump all over that. Are you organizing this complaint flooding undertaking?

It's like the Twilight Zone in here today.

It's very obvious you're a Toyota fanboy and the brand can't do nothing wrong.

I've actually had a couple (very minor) issues with my new truck that I've discussed in older threads which included possible solutions and fixes. Nothing that was worth creating a thread and having a meltdown over. There's a difference between being a fan boy and having common sense.

Dude you have been targeting me since last night, and you began with the disrespectful jokes. I'm just trying to find a solution to fix my truck. I should have known better than to join a forum for enthusiasts. Maybe you need to join your friend Cody..

Targeting, that's a bit overreaching. Anyway, you never once asked for help or a solution on anything. You just came in gun blazing and talked smack on the bumper and about Toyota hoping other with incite with you and it failed. You ask for help, it will be given and that's a fact. If you had some tact in your approach the cold welcome by many would've been much different regardless of your issue.

I don't get it, you're upset because I came "guns blazing" about the poor quality Toyota is putting out now. Are you completely happy with everything Toyota puts out?

Eh moderator discretion, I don't see him necessarily trolling here, but just bitching...however, I will tell you @Mad taco owner you're new here and not off to a great start.

So because I'm new here I have to put up with people's shit? I don't think so. The new Tacoma has issues with excessive shifting, poor gas mileage that don't match what Toyota is claiming.

No wonder it's an internet fight and they aren't hitting each other anyways. One of those homo's is wearing an Asking Alexandria shirt.

Poor gas mileage that doesn't match the EPA's estimated claims has been common place in the automotive industry for quite some time now. I will tell you in all honesty that I cannot remember the last time I saw numbers posted by them on the window sticker actually match up to what the vehicle puts out. It is all based upon the user and how they drive it as well.

The excessive shifting issue has been around for some time now. The 2nd gen automatic suffers the issue as well. There are some solutions around the problem for 2nd gens, but the issue stems from a combination of both a lack of power, and bad transmission shift logic programming. So yours and other 3rd gen. owners issues involving excessive shifting is a problem which is nothing new.

No, you just need to learn the ropes here.

600 miles on my truck and I, getting 12mpg in the city. I was getting 16 pre delete in my GMC Sierra duramax with heavy 35.5x11.5x20's and a level. Post delete was seeing similar mileage but on the freeway was getting 20 doing 80-85mph.

This engine is shit. Mpg is shit. No power. Transmission jumping around. No excuse. Tundra gets shit mpg's too. There has to be something that Toyota can do to get better mpg's with this current offering. After this they should have a better engine with FI gas and preferably a diesel.

Are there any turbo add on options anyone know about like Hennessey or the like? I good tuner should be able to program engine and transmission plus could add a turbo setup. I'd pay $5-7.5k for this truck to have good power. What about dropping a crate motor? Can tuners make a V8 play nice with Ecu and TCU?
