I have a DCLB OR... check the fuelly signature. 20 is possible, and I have a few hundred miles of off road driving getting 4-12mpg!

You need to slow down. driving 75mph will not get you good gas mileage

This seems really good to me considering the biggest complaint of the frontier is the poor fuel economy, especially if you're doing that through BC hills.

I expected it to be worse on fuel than my 2006 V6 SR5 AC 4x4 automatic from everything I read, not the case. It seems the automatic and crew cab Frontiers are a lot thirstier.

The 2016 Tacoma V6 Automatic, drives like a 4 cylinder, drinks gas like an 8.

I get around 18mpg average after 5,000 miles... significant difference around the 4,500 mile mark in terms of shift patterns. I agree that it should do a little better, but the EPA estimate is dead on on the sticker.

I don't know you guys are complaining. The 2016 Tacoma is the best truck ever built

It seems you would be happier with a Tundra.

No I wanted a mid sized truck. I think I should have gone with the 2015 but the interior on the 2015 was so outdated.

Guy has legit concern about truck, you tell him to sell it, great response

It's like if smitty99 said his wife doesn't like his career or his beard or whatever and your response is "leave her".

Some folks take their trucks way too serious in how they react, frankly a bit sad and scary at the same time.

I'll stick with my midsize that can be whipped around with minimal negotiation. I drove a full size a couple times... Not a fan. The steering and braking are so over boosted and have artificial feeling. I can't believe people don't get into more accidents with them. I love road feel while driving, and the Tacoma, even though it's a truck, still has some level of driver control and road feel. It's not as clumsy as the dumbasses at Consumer Reports like to say it is, especially once a good set of tires are added and kept at the rated pressures.

2nd gen Tacoma just needs put in 4th gear and you get about 85 percent of the feeling of a full size which needs that needs that v8. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing those new full size Tundras, F150s, and Silverados (with shitty tires that have only 3/32nds remaining) putin along in the right lane causing traffic trying to barely squeeze that rated highway mpg out for their 5 day tankful...while I drive however I want for my mood knowing that I'm going to get consistently get at least 18 mpg in my truck I paid at least $10,000 less than those big trucks..and most of those big truck 'owners' take out that 6 or 7 year loan with no down payment. Yeah, those guys are real winners and probably doing real well in life and making great choices...and will be working until age 70.

My brand new Titan cost $6000 less than my old 2013 Limited Tacoma, and $2000 less than my 2011 6speed tacoma Sport. So no I wouldn't say fullsize is more expensive.

    My Titan gets 14.5mpg
    My 6speed 2011 Taco got 14.5mpg
My 2013 Limites Tacoma got 16.5mpg

My Titan would destroy either Tacoma in a race, especially on the freeway.

Titan also has less body roll, and a more solid feel.

    Clearly you are a fanboy.

Clearly the best way to compare trucks. Did you buy a clearance 2015 Titan then? Or the new body style with old engine combo?

Diesel versus gas. Maybe that fact should be mentioned in that chart...

Nope, but that Ram has about the same payload and towing rating as the Tacoma. Not to mention the exhaust and reliability issues.
