You are more than welcome to have an opinion and I totally respect that. I do.

What you don’t get to see or deal with is the reporting, the messages to delete accounts, post ban attitudes…etc. We would rather keep 3 new members and dump a crappy one. When someone gets a ban from the site, we are all involved. 95% of the time the complete staff is notified and voted on. In this case I gave him 30 for a political discussion on another thread, and that was found from being an ass on this thread. Then it was voted to boost it to 90 days from bast bans/warnings and site attitude. We do go through post history and how the member acts on here. Would we ban him for what he said on this thread? No. It would be deleted and a warning put to his account.

No disagreement. I was speaking more generally than this singular incident.

Absolutely agree. I was a member/occasional visitor on a popular rifle collector forum some years ago. I went back in once and it was....gone! After some digging, I found it was because the vitriol had gotten out of control. Go figure.

You can see that you guys banned me recently. But I mostly did it on purpose. My wife really likes a "bad boy.":anonymous:

I’ve been lurking that thread for a while now… very close to pulling the trigger especially with the group buy.

I’m not understanding how motor mounts could could increase power to the ground by any significant amount. It seems possible that they might cause a small amount of energy to be lost to heat, but I’m guessing it’s small because otherwise Toyota would spend a tiny bit more to raise their fuel economy ratings. Am I being daft?

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I would agree that the power loss with the factory mounts is probably small and affect on fuel mileage is possibly even smaller. For Toyota, the tradeoff is for a smoother ride. It might be less than 5% of Toyota buyers that get that serious about offroad performance.

For myself, I don't see me pushing my truck that hard to justify the $$$.

You're on the right track! Keep exploring! I have owned a vintage Buick since 1975. 47 years and I still don't consider myself an expert on it and have the well-worn looking shop manuals to prove it. (Which were new-looking when I purchased them) ;)
