My dad runs a semi. And has driven autos. Hates autos for long haul trucks. Maybe for a local delivery, but when your passin over the Rockies with 60k lbs, a manual is the only way to get up the hill

 

Just needs A-Trac.

 

I don't know about that stuff. I'm a first gen lol. None of that computer fancy stuff haha

 

I wish I was a little more patient. I just had totaled my frontier, and needed a vehicle to drive. I had just gotten a job. When I looked at my tacoma, I was also planning to look at a 98 dodge dakota 4x4. 318 with a 5 speed manual. The holy grail of dodges. 94k miles(taco had 147k) and $500 less then my taco. I just needed a vehicle so swiped up the tacoma. While I love the taco, wish I had gotten the dodge. Mostly for the 4x4. If my truck was a 4x4, I would definitely take it over a dodge. But I've been regretting the decision every time I get stuck lol

I guess this thread has just turned into a pick on the OP thread, instead of what I originally had posted as to why they wouldn't offer a manual in the prerunner, but would in the 4x4. I'm out
