Discussion in '4th Gen. Tacomas (2024+)' started by yotadust, Apr 24, 2025.

?

3rd Gen vs 4th Gen front cabin (not considering the 4th gen's seat height and head room fixes)

At least we still have a gear shift lever and not a button or knob. Albeit, it's electronic, but still ....

Congratulations. You are the first person on TacomaWorld to make the assertion that an overabundance of toggles and switches "isn't manly enough."

What really gets my goat is that OP coerced me into defending a 4th gen.

dont get me wrong I want physical buttons for everything just not right under where I typically hold cups of coffee when im hitting bumps. Just to confirm, yall like the buttons and 4x4 knobs right there in front of the center arm rest like that?

but now it has a button on the shifter that you have to push just to shift like a car. That kills it for me

so I can control the tension. I go light tension while parking with no trailer then heavy tension with heavy load on incline or decline if that makes sense

hand brake is also usable if brakes fail or sliding on down boat ramps. I can control it without a computer telling me when and when not I may use my own ebrake for the love.

most vechiles are designed for female drivers, they are often the decision makers in homes. been marketed towards women for the years, back in my Honda, Subaru days they literally explained the marketing strategies to female buyers and trucks and and SUV are for women now. sell the wife and youre good to go

There are actually a lot of things I despise about the design of the 4th gen. The buttons are in funny spots because Toyota decided that cars with IMAX theaters bolted to the dash are what sell these days. And indeed, the 4th gen is selling, despite me sitting on the couch, arms crossed, continuing to harrumph and not buy one.
