Why can't i find another prerunner like mine?

I bought my truck about a year ago and didn't think much of it, until i saw other trucks on the road. They were much shorter than mine, so i dug around and found out that the actual factory made mine the way it is on a special order. it does not have the TRD logo on it but does have TRD. I asked the dealership what the heck they did to it and they told me that the 1st owner ordered the truck as a simple prerunner (base/ i have zero extra features) Just truck. Nothing more. Manual transmission, cd player, wiper blades, manual windows. Nothing extra. No lsd or locker, no nothin'. But then you look at the suspension..... Woah. Standard TRD in the front with some kind of factory lift (no body lifts anywhere on the truck) And on the back, Giant springs that raise the truck at least 3 inches. The shocks are not black, and they are not yellow. They are silver and say Toyota bilstein. Everyone who looks at the truck gets a little stumped on the suspension. One dealership mechanic told me he has only seen silver billys on FJ Cruisers. Which might explain why it rides really stiff. Sometimes i cant even enter a parking lot ramp without going airborne in my seat. I feel every crack and every pothole on the street. I looked at my production information, My truck was the 16th Toyota truck built in California. Maybe it was an executive's custom order?

mmm looking at the pic of your truck it does look like you have nothing haha post a pic amigo. and will inspect it most likely the last owner put the suspension on but stayed with toyota product or from another toyota truck, suv

 

If it says "Toyota Bilstein" its probably take offs from a Baja edition.
And if it is, that's probably why it sits so high and is so stiff. Your single cab is much lighter than the baja access and double cabs.

No TRD. I'm guessing you have the 4 banger.

TRD is only offered in access an or bigger and with the V6. Along with a few other things...I can say it isn't a TRD...

 

It absolutly is a trd. I'll post pictures. It just doesn't indicate anywhere on the truck.

 

Steel wheels ?

 

I've seen a few pre-runner reg. cabs, none since 06 or later, I'm guessing they dropped them due to so few sales. Sad, I think a reg. cab pre-runner is a slick setup.
