    You posted a thread asking
    you went on to say...

I was trying to inform you of some of the things that you say you had...that you did not...

You posted about two hours later....

I just want you to know that it isn't a TRD, which I'm guessing be the SARCASTIC YELLING, you now know. You made it sound like the dealer said this and that and that you had a special TRD custom ordered awesome truck. I was looking out for you trying to get you to realize it isn't. I was just hoping you weren't ripped off by the dealer.

That idiot made up anything he could to get you to buy the truck. He has no idea when the previous owner installed anything and 98.63472% of what he told you he pulled out of his ass. Most used car salesmen are the most untrustworthy people on the planet...but that's another thread.

Take off that over load spring if you don't hual really heavy stuff everyday. Maybe that will help the stiffness.

You must have read that in a Consumer Reports article. We all know how accurate they are.

Previous owner used to haul heavy loads, so he put an AAL on it and TRD front suspension with a lift and custom rear suspension for added weight capacity. I recently installed a tow package (Curt with lifetime warranty) So i will definitely see what this thing can handle as far as weight goes.
Some people do, some people don't. People where i live drive around town all day and probably don't even know what a diff locker is. But got trd because spending more money on your truck makes it a supertruck.

It does have standard trd in the front. Again, I stated that the factory made it as a base prerunner with no features. Why the hell would they make the truck a base, then add all the TRD package stuff. Sorry i didnt state that i ONLY meant the suspension and nothing else. I Figured saying that the built it as a base would get across that i only meant the suspesion and the suspension only.

i'm thinking about it, I will be hauling a dirt bike trailer soon, my class 3 hitch is on its way to my doorstep. I know thats nothing compared to what could be loaded onto it, but maybe they will help me eventually. The trailer can be used to haul other stuff too so i might just deal with the stiffness. I plan on getting a camper trailer eventually so the over load spring might help then. Thanks for the tip!

Really? So if you knew it was modified, why would you wonder why you cant find another prerunner like yours? And why would a base model prerunner with no features be a "special factory order?"

When i bought the truck the dealer didnt tell me any of this. I thought it was just like every other truck until i saw differences in other trucks. i had to do my digging around. I went to the dealer to use my service coupon and asked them if they could find any information on it. they told me the have never seen those shocks on a tacoma, and that it was built as a base prerunner and had the suspension added to it 1 day before the owner picked it up. I then went to a suspension shop, who told me they just put billies on it, when stock trd's are billies (didnt help me) so i came here to see if anyone else has ever seen a prerunner with similar characteristics and i found nothing. so i created my own account here and asked about my truck specifically, if anyone can help me figure it out. Not trolling at all, This is one of my very first posts here. So thanks to anyone who helped me. I had no idea i had an extra leaf spring, and no idea i could not adjust rear bilsteins cause i would. And to see if special ordering a truck like this is even possible for the public to do. I agree that dealers will say anthing about the truck, thats a different story, when i bought the truck, it was making a ticking noise in the clutch whenever load was added, The dealer told me it was the "nature of the beast" it was a sunday so i could not have the service team at toyota check it out, so i went ahead and got the truck with the limited powertrain warranty, brought it back during the week and found a T.S.B with revised part for clutch disc. Needless to say, i have 7,000 miles on my brand new clutch assembly, bearing assembly, resurfaced flywheel, pressure plate, and made a new friend with a service writer named matt. So, the dealer trying to pull a fast one actually put me in a truck with a brand new clutch to start the ownership of my truck in. :D

The dealer in my city does not touch suspension. they outsource them. What i was saying is, the owner had the suspension added before he ever drove the truck ANYWHERE. He didnt buy the truck, drive it around a few days, then add the suspension at his buddies shop. The factory made the base, the dealer had someone else add the suspension before it was ever driven by the owner. Left me wondering what kind of dealer does that kind of stuff, or was it a weird circumstance. Because i have never seen one that is just like mine. Hence the name of the thread.
