I had a Ford Ranger, Dodge Dakota and Chevy Colorado. So why jump into a Toyota Tacoma?

Ford no longer makes a small truck. I don't like climbing up into the bed to get what ever is in there. The Tacoma is low enough to reach over the bed rails to grab the payload in the bed.

I'll never buy another Chevy for political reasons, not to mention the prices of the new Colorado are insane.

I'll never buy a Dodge again for numerous reasons, not to mention they are now owned by Fiat.

After buying the Prius for my wife, I was really impressed with the way Toyota makes a car. So, I began looking at Tacomas. The size and quality of the truck fits my needs. The Life time warrant is a big plus too.

Unlike the Colorado, I really like this Tacoma. I purchased the Colorado as a 2008 left over in 2009 and got a very good deal but it was not my first choice.

Last week I traded in the Colorado For the Tacoma while there was still some value left in it. I also got a very good deal on the Tacoma plus it is the truck that I really wanted and it fits my needs.
I don't need a giant truck to haul a boat or some other big honk'n thing. My Tacoma is a base truck with a couple of up grades, auto trany, power windows and locks, upgraded radio, and some mats.

One more thing, I was thinking that I would need to get a Line-X spray in liner but I found out that the bed of the Tacoma is not made of steel. For real? It's made of plastic! Far out! Don't need a liner.

This is by far the best truck that I've ever owned IMHO.

    I'm just say'n.

aires 3D mats, scan gauge II, rear differential breather relocation, and bakflip G2 bed cover.
I traded a 2008 Tundra limited Crewmax in on my 2015 tacoma. I agree with you, the tundra is just too damn big. Why didn't they keep the size of the 1st generation Tundra and just upgrade the engine and transmission.

Did I miss something when I bought my 2015 Tacoma? LOL Lifetime warranty on what?

This Taco is my third Toyota. My previous two were a 2005 Camry SE and a 2009 Sienna LE (the ex has this one). Both served us very reliably.

My Tacoma says it was build at the plant in Otay Mesa, CA (near San Diego). I'd rather buy a "Japanese" vehicle built by Americans than an "American" car built in another country.

The fact that im happy i have a truck made by the same company whos trucks have been running around in deserts, probably not being taken care of, and not breaking down is bad? in other words, i know toyota trucks have held up in some of the harshest environments on earth. Therefore, im an asshole?

It's not the dependability of Toyota trucks that elicited th a**hole comments...
