Sounds like you found a vehicle that fits your needs(Tacoma)already knowing the overall quality was in your mind with Toyota.Drove Fords's most of my life(F-150,Ranger)and just got exhausted with the quality that wasn't even close to what i would expect.Maybe it was the timing of years i drove or purchased the Ford's.I could go into more detail but i'm not.Enjoy your Tacoma cause i'm thrilled with Toyota quality of my Tacoma and your on a (TW)forum that is highly respective and very friendly to the meaning of satisfaction of what a Tacoma is and has been as well as what Toyota has to offer for the future.

It has less to do with Toyota and news articles, and more to do with FUCK AL QAIDA. We have members who are currently deployed, have returned from deployment, are awaiting deployment, have family deployed, and have friends and family who were deployed to that shithole and lost themselves there, either mentally or physically, in whole or in pieces. The "good enough for Al Qaida, so it's good enough for me" comments are best left in the trash.

If that is a reason you bought anything then I don't know what the hell to say.

I co- signed so my step son could get a Tundra. That's a freak'n great truck. If I was to get a big truck, it would be a Tundra.
I think the older body style of the Tundra is very similar to the Tacoma.
I'm guessing that Toyota wanted to compete with Ford and Chevy for the big truck market when they redesigned the Tundra.
    Any way, I'm dig'n my new truck!:D

Toyota is offering a life time warranty. Call your dealer. I think it's nation wide here in the USA.

Baja is not San Diego. Otay Mesa is just the border crossing where they come in.

i only meant to compliment the truck. Im a big pool player and have to play a lot at our local american legion. I regularly talk to/thank and appreciate veterans. I have always been inspired and amazed at the stories they have to tell, and what they've been through. I actually used to work with a guy who saw the atomic testing at bikini atoll. Sorry if i gave the wrong idea. But jumping on me and calling me an asshole was uncalled for.

Agreed, the Tundras are very nice but large trucks. When the time comes to need a full size that will most likely be the purchase. Congrats on your new truck and welcome. Lots of good info on here.

No, I think it's every place. I went to a few web sites of local and out of state web sites and they also had the LTW. If not national then it is regional. Call your dealer and see for yourself.
