Why did you choose that path? As opposed to along the frame?

It is along the inside of the frame. Exits the engine compartment on drivers side just below the hydraulic brake module, hugs the left frame rail until the cross member that holds the rear drive shaft mid bearing and crosses to the right side rail and then out to the back.

Nonsense. Those year 2000 landcruisers are pretenders. The real off road Toyotas have front drums.

Lol bro what? are you trolling? If you went "hard" on the trails the pedal will noticeably get progressively softer and less effective when going down steep inclines and slopes as brake fluid boils into gas at the system’s wheel cylinders, as the drum brakes will retain huge amounts of heat. disc brakes don't have this problem as the rotors are exposed to the air that allow them to more rapidly dump the excess heat. Also, A disc brake might squeal initially as slush impacts against the pad and disc, but it will quickly wipe itself clean. Drum brake shoes ride farther away from their contact surface on the drum, allowing debris to be caught between them. Also, water can easily get inside the drum, rendering the drum shoes ineffective, as they slip and slide along the metal facing of the drum. All this misinformation on this forum about drum brakes being better than rotors in any way is hilariously sad and shows a major lack of understanding of even basic mechanical engineering.

This was how we learned to type:
The lesson was on a record (as in vinyl record).

OOF, imagine not being able to google something and actually having to physically go to a library and hunt for a specific book. So wild to think about to me as the first Iphone came out when I was 10.

Books got me a long way in life. ;)
An advantage of books and catalogs is that you discover other things in your quest for information.
