Also it (Google, etc.) makes all information disposable so no information is actually retained.

Back in 1985 I purchased 100 cases of penzoil 10-40, because it's organic. That's what I use. Goorganic or go home

I wouldn’t keep coming back to this dumpster fire as an OP, but as an outside observer it’s pretty solid

Yup, I remember looking specific items up in our family's encyclopedia and being there for hours with all the distractions. Plus the subscription additions added each month or two. Come to think of it, certain portions of the internet work the same with YouTube recommendations.

Will I be a bad person if I become a Bostonian impersonating a Carolinian?

At first I thought it was a Friday post from the way it was worded.

As to drums versus disks on the rear of a light duty pickup truck. I think it's mostly because the vast majority of owners don't heavily load their Tacos. A few do, but for most of us with the weight forward, drums in the back are sufficient.

I grew up in the pre/early disk brake era. My first couple of cars had manual drum brakes all around. Stopping was always an adventure. I still have a set of drum brake tools in my garage and could still do a brake job if I had to. I could probably do the fronts as well depending on how the rotors attach. I had an Isuzu Trooper that required the front hubs to be removed to replace the rotors. Hence, I never did brakes on it. Oh, and it needed a special tool to retract the pistons in the rear calipers because of the way they did the parking brake. They had to be turned and couldn't just be compressed like the pistons I was used to.

So, there are pros and cons to both types of rear brakes.

Yes, because it has a car engine.

Maybe an autocorrect from a horrible fat-finger attempt to type "specific?"

406 are the only serious unimogs. They are for extreme conditions, hence the drums.

I sometimes forget my truck was developed for racing by Toyota Racing Development. I’ll probably start putting 94 in it to get better lap times.
