For me it’s the hickory leather, but damn I wish I had the hood scoop.

In what percentage of models are Tacoma's built, heck they are all eventually sold...

Before I knew anything about Tacos I thought the scoop looked cool. But I’m a pragmatic guy to a fault, and when I found out it was non-functional it lost all its aura. Plus I hear it blocks a bit of forward view and causes annoying glare. Not cool, dude. For me the OR is the perfect vehicle, functionally and dare I say aesthetically.

I bought a Limited because of all the "options" it came with as standard. I love my bird's eye view camera and full camera vision all the way around. It really helps in a tight parking lot. I'll never go off road so I like the nice ride of the Limited and the larger tire size. Moon roof is nice too, although I don't use it a lot, but it's nice when you have a dog in the truck. Leather heated seats, premium audio, full LED headlights, etc.. These things round out the package very nicely for my use!

    This is partially why.

I prefer pleather over cloth for ease of cleaning and resale.

I'm assuming they bought it so they could do a chrome delete mod and throw a pro grill on it.

Limited sales are limited because the production number of this trim are....limited (sorry couldn't help myself). Can't sell a lot if you don't produce many in that trim.

    My reasons:
    - Right now in my area, Tacomas are flying off the shelves and with many being sold before they hit the dealerships. Too difficult to research online which Sports were fully loaded down to the exact detail because very few of the stupid Toyota dealership websites will show the Maroney Sticker. If I got a Sport I wanted it to be fully loaded. I got sick of trying to figure out which trucks had what. Limiteds have all the options. Just made the research online easier. I had to drive 400 miles each way to get mine.
    - Not a fan of the hood scoop.
    - Only trim that comes with Michelin tires. All Firestones tires are trash.
    - Highest trim = higher resale value. I didn't want to have to explain, no... see this is a PREIMUM Sport.
    - Don't really love the 18 wheel size, 17's with some more sidewall would be more practical.
    - Didn't love the chrome at first, but I think it suits the Limited well.
    - Flexing on the poors

Honestly I think the Limited Tacoma is the most underbaked of the limited lineup. It makes no sense. Compare it against the Limited 4Runner and tell me I'm wrong. That one looks like a baby lexus. The interior is swank. The lo-pro wheel setup means you can spot it from a mile away. There is something about it that makes it look, feel, and drive completely differently than the other trims. The limited Tacoma on the other hand... is brown.

I got the TRD sport 4X4. I don’t go off-road much. I like the looks of the sport over the OR. I could get by with a 2X4 but, didn’t as the resale is greater on the 4X4’s and I trade often.

I bought this summer (after assignment to Korea) and had 2x to choose from in a 50mile radius. One was a 2020 Limited (new) and the other a 2019 Off-Road (~20K miles)...the Limited was less $ and no damage.

I also liked all the interior pluses. Doesn't matter much because I redid the suspension and wheels/tire within a couple months anyway. I only lack lockers, but that can be done when I re-gear (if I re-gear).

I was going to buy one because of the Michelin tires and I didn't really need a locker. I couldn't get over all the chrome and thought the OR was the best bang for the buck.

I bought a Sport as it was the only way to get a double cab with MT other than Pro. Plus a Sport Premium averages $2K less than an OR premium. Could get an ARB locker for that.

Even if they don't, LSDs are useful in more situation than just those off pavement.

TW is an outlier.....the actual # of Taco owners (OR or otherwise) is probably less than 20%. Most are driven onroad only like 95% of other vehicles.

I was very close to going with a Limited for the hickory interior but I didn't want to deal with all the chrome on the 20's. So I went Sport instead and had dark brown Katzkins installed. It looks and feels way better and is now exactly the way I want for less money. It was a hassle to change the interior but after it's done it's so much nicer than factory and you get whatever you want instead of the two choices Toyota gives you.
