No, I haul the same shit in my 3rd gen as I did my 2nd gen. I have zero issues with my new truck. Could be I have one of the last 2017’s to be made and they got all the bugs worked out, but I LOVE this damn thing. Inside the 2nd gen isn’t even in the same league.

I’ll put it this way. If Toyota offered me a 2nd gen for free or a 3rd gen for 20,000.00, I’d still take the 3rd gen without batting an eye.

Your blowing smoke out of your ass, don't even pretend they tow the same. Stop and go traffic, the 3rd gen is ass towing. Highway maybe better with the 3rd gen.

I have about 5 miles from my house to the interstate and it’s 45 mph speed limit. Once I’m off the interstate to the motocross park, it’s a 3 min drive. My trailer and 2 MX bikes are all I haul. A YZ 250F and YZ450F. Probably 1,000 pounds between the trailer and bikes. Trailer is not a box.

I had an F-150 3.5 EcoBoost between my 2nd and 3rd gen, but I seriously have never found myself asking for more power or struggling with the new truck. I just throw on the ECT button with the 3rd gen and all is good.

That's fine, I'm just saying. Btw...how long did you own your 2nd gen? If it was less then a year I'd believe you hated it.

I had it for 7 years. The only pics I really have of it. One with my bike in back and another shot of it sitting in my wife’s BMW.

7 years and it was your least favorite truck? I think you were exaggerating a bit there. I get it you love your truck, I love mine. I've test drove a few 3rd gens and my buddy owns one as well. They just don't have the pick up and go a 4.0 has around town. Light years different? No. But enough to notice.
Would it stop me from owning one? As of right now, Yes. I do like the interior, but i flat out don't need it. In a couple years? Ya I may own one someday, but right now the 3rd gen just does not enough to move me over yet. Thats just my opinion.

I drove the 80 for 4 years, it was totaled by a drunk driver. My first gen I had for 8 years and traded it for the 2007 for the bigger 2nd gen size. Now the 3rd gen.

No, I said DT and local dealership wouldn’t do it for my neighbors truck. There’s a difference. ;)

I have not, but actually got to spend several days driving a 2nd gen. It was a great truck. Loved it. 3rd gen is just superior. This isnt even an argument.

You sound a little scorned... lol

Try not to take this hard but.... its best that you learn now.... the world doesnt revolve around tacoma ownership...

Scorned....Ya that's it. When your talking tacoma's on a Tacoma forum the world does kind of revolve around tacoma's. But please keep telling me about denial i have in the 2nd gen you never owned.
