You know this is the 'Why DID you buy a TRD Pro' thread, right?
Do SR/SR5 owners troll TRD Off Road threads with the same logic?

This is EXACTLY what I did. And very close to what I paid for the flight, too! No regrets!

Seriously considering trading my 15OR on a 21 pro and was wondering how is the ride vs the OR? I live 5 miles back a dirt road with some decent size potholes that are unavoidable and wondering if those Fox shocks outperform 5100’s that I have now?

I bought a pro because I loved the looks. I prefer the hood scoop, and I also liked the stock wheels. Leather was a must. My local dealership had the pro available and took 1101 off of msrp. It seemed like a no brainer for me. It just so happened I got the limited color for this year too. I initially wanted white but it was no where to found. I’m glad I got lunar rock. I think it looks great in person and it gets a lot of compliments.

My family is also new to overlanding. I felt the pro would give me the looks I wanted. All I have to do is sliders and tires to get started. I already ordered the sliders, and tires will come in time. This will allow us to get out into the wilderness and then decide where we want to go with the build.

On the flip side of the question, I most likely would have purchased a PRO as opposed to my TRD Sport IF they were offered in a color I liked such Silver Sky Metallic.

I'm coming from a Gen 2 with 5100s to the Pro. The Pro is absolutely plusher. But also more body roll.

I’m just getting the itch and having a new vehicle again with warranty and zero miles is appealing ‍♂️ I’ve been debating it for awhile and thinking if they give me a decent price for trade I just may jump

For me, it was built by the previous owner with a lot of the things on my "wish list" so to speak. Could of gone with Offroad is I had found a similar build but found my Pro first.

Just wanted to be told by TW members that I would've been better off getting an SR5 or OR

I went with the Pro for the same reasons others have said. It is not going to be used as a dedicated off road rig. After building up an OR, the difference between the Pro and the OR was small and the Pro had the upgrades that made the ~2k worth going for the Pro. Only thing I am wanting to do in the near future is sliders and a LP bumper.

    What bumper is that?

my frame of reference is against the sport and not the off road, but the pro suspension vs the sport is much more absorbing/dynamic over most surfaces at low and high speeds. I thought the body roll factor is about the same. Just one opinion here though. If you get nose dive on the off road, I don’t notice that on the pro, if it helps.
