    They especially suck when attaching hardware on stained wood, just one slip and you have a scratch. Maybe some industrial designer likes the look.

    Why would you stop making something if a bunch of idiots keep buying more because they keep screwing them up. All about the $
    Every screw that has been replaced or used in new builds in my house is a Robertson screw. They are much easier to install/remove and they don't kill driver bits like Philips or slip like slotted.
