    I hate slotted or cross tipped screws...even square grooved are worthless...If I make something deck or whatever I use torx...its the only way to go..

    Im an electrician. It is the worst when you come across a sloted in a metal bell box and its rusted somewhat in there.or taking out a 3in 8 or 6-32 with a sloted because you lithium ion battery just died.

    As a machinist, I am a firm believer that there is NO PLACE in this world for regular slotted screws. Cap screws should rule the universe. The closest acceptable thing would be the combination slotted/phillips limiter screws on a mountain bike derailleur. It's nice to be able to adjust those with virtually any tool in arms reach.
