    Winch, front hitch, step bars, bed extender, bed step, gull-wing toolbox, tailgate lock, security system, cb radio, etc.
    There are many occasions (home construction, furniture construction, vehicle interiors, etc) where sloted screws are both more attractive and more traditional. In those situations, most would not likely be satisfied with more the utilitarian appearance of phillips or robertson screws.

    i agree as well i have flat head screws! or slotted how ever you say it. i like torx allot! phillips or star head are better than flathead.

    funny you say that. i use a small one i have to pry the dash apart in my truck. :D i don’t think i have used it for anything els.

    Old school craftsmen like them for the look and they work fine with hand tools and going slow. Unlike Sq. drive or philips they scream hand made.

    There are a lot of things made by machines, these in custom wood work, let you know it was hand made.

    They are fine for decorative elements

    I also use stainless steel pyramid head nails for my siding that look like old cut nails .

    True, but I like the straight look. My dad built stuff for my kids, blanket chests, toy boxes etc. and the screws just look good.

    And honestly, in this world inferior technology doesn't last. If there wasn't a need/use/demand for it they would be gone by now.
