Whatever you decide, DON'T grind the caliper. Spacers or wheels are much better options. Personally I'd just run some small spacers since that's the cheapest route, but if you ever wanted new wheels, now's the time.

just got these wheels so i'd rather not get another set. i'll probably just get some smaller spacers.

The tough thing is knowing how much will work. I'd go the smallest possible, which is the 3/4" spacer from BORA. They're a reputable brand and have no problems. I believe a set of 2 runs $100.

I would check the wheel manufacturer's website and see if they have a specific size spacer for your particular type and size of wheel for the application on a Tacoma...

didn't you say you have the stock 17' wheels that came with the TRD Sport? Why not just use those?? they clear the brakes, are the exact right offset, and everything.

Have to make sure his wheels have indents in the back for 3/4" spacers

    Anyone know ?

Doesn't look like they will work...probably need 1" if you don't wanna cut the studs

You don't need indents. The spacer just acts like an extension of the hub itself. I've literally never heard of this on here before.

    I own the spacers.....

Yes you do need indents. The 3/4" spacers are SHORTER than the stock studs. If there is not indents then it doesn't work

So it's specific to the 3/4" spacers then?

here's the wheel in question (from the OP's earlier post)

I'd bet money they doesn't have any indents. these are the wrong wheels for a Tacoma, plain and simple. he needs wheels with ET30 offsets... ideally find some take-offs from a 4Runner/Tacoma where the owner went for bigger/spiffier wheels

Doesn't necessarily have to have that offset, so much as made for a Tacoma. My last wheels were 16x8 0 offset, and everything was kosher.

the rim goes in, that's why it rubs my caliper. if the rim surface were to be flat, it wouldn't go back and rub my caliper. 0 offset is fine, just depends on the wheel.

That's exactly how my SCS wheels were. Totally flat on the inside so it clears the calipers.
