My issue with lowered trucks is... I don’t get it.

Same deal with 12 inch lifts and stretched tires on full-size trucks.

I don’t see a point in making something less functional.

Ehhh, less functional is all relative. All depends what you use it for. I lowered my 4wd, but its a pavement pounder. I live in the country where there are a bunch of twisty roads, so I am just trying to make a fun daily driver out of it. I never tow, haul, or anything like that, so I figured I would try to make a sleeper out of it and have some fun while im at it

I may be ignorant, but I don’t believe these come standard with a supercharger correct? Optional I am sure. I guess my issue with any of these type of vehicles not just the X runner but the “sport truck” stuff in general from the factory, seem to usually be more or less appearance packages with minimal actual performance upgrades.. It turns me off.. My understanding is they did tweak the suspension and the chassis a bit so I suppose in the X runners case it is more street performance oriented as intended.. Probably a better example of real upgrades compared to other manufacturers.. But non the less when I see one I think it’s a bit cheesy.. Like it doesn’t know what it wants to be, a utility vehicle to haul stuff or a wana be sports car, its a compromise at either function. I have never driven one so this is just my perception. I don’t doubt like any Tacoma they are a great vehicle. I don't "hate" them I think they are cool, I just wouldn't personally want one.
