The next owner appreciates it. I think aftermarket mats are a cheap way of increasing retail value. Not so much trade in at a dealer, but a great selling point in private sales.

My Frontier came with Nissan branded mats made by Weathertech, they are great. It also has anchors on both sides, not bad for a 2010 vehicle. Still have the brand new carpet mats in my crawl space.

My old Tacoma was an SR5 with the carpet mats, they would get filthy but still clean up like new after 10 years.

    Yes, I agree.
But like anything else, they require a little care. For example, dump or rinse the mud/dirt off once in a while. If mud is left on mat for extended periods it's comparable to sandpaper as your heels grind the mud particles into the rubber.
Here's my OEM mats after 19 months and a little over 20,000 miles. Holding up quite well.

I like stock mats so much that my office is lined with them. They really add resale value to my work station.

With the OEM all weather mats, the slush/salt mix would melt, and then pour down onto the carpet because there is no ridge at the back. When i lifted the carpet to install my OEMaudioplus system, i found a ton of salt and rust starting on the seat mount. I cleaned as much salt out as i could and sprayed the rust down with fluid film. that was on a 2 year old truck. Swapped in weathertechs and it's now contained.

Haaa. Nice. So what do you have in the taco then?

Also, love that "tape" mat. Most people these days (under 40) have no idea what that is I am sure....

Only replaced mine because the factory ones were a mangled, twisted mess when I got my truck. Not sure what the PO did to make them that way.

Husky weatherbeaters that for whatever reason Husky is ashamed to stick their own brand name on them. 30% cheaper than weatherbeaters too.

Just searching through Husky and Weathertech. Only Weathertech makes floor liners for manual transmission Tacoma's. That makes the selection process easier.

Those mats look nice, but mine came with some carpeted mats. I’ll take a picture if this thread is persistent. The carpet floor mats are dirty and ugly but, well, so is the rest of the truck when it’s used for work.

Not true. Here are my Husky's in my MT. Amazon has 5 in stock at the moment.

Interesting, their website says they don't fit. Thank you for the information. I will have to wait for the end of the apocalypse to order them up. Unless a killer sale happens.

Edit. Your picture of them is very helpful too. They look great and look like they are holding up well. How long have you had them?

Husky only offers their Weatherbeater line for the M/T.

They are $86.46 for the fronts on Amazon. Had them since June 2018. My pic was snapped today. I have never taken a hose to them or applied any cleaning product. They are holding up well and the only maintenance and cleaning has been just a simple shake out. They are much more resilient than the OEM rubber and "guaranteed for life".

First time I took out my one piece backseat mat, I dumped almost everything. Guess I need to go to YouTube to figure out how to take it out. Lol. Considering cutting it in half.
