Why would you get mad about tires (or anything else) that somebody decides to put on their truck?

What if your rim also has fake beadlocks??

That would be an existential dilemma. Do my fake rubber beadlocks overshadow my fake metal ones?

You do know you can mess that up with regular tire also, right?

Of all the things I can worry about these tires are not one. Even though they are ugly as sin. :puke:

Perfect! If the rubber bead bolts somehow fail while I’m wheelin’ in the desert here, the metal back-ups on the rim will keep the tire on the wheel

Great looking tire, I was not impressed by them. Over hyped tire, IMHO. :)

What’s the issue w/the bfg’s? I was about to replace my worn out Toyo OC’s w/the new TA KO2’s. Bad idea ?

No. They're good tires. There are other options now that are better for some. Some have said that they're no good in wet conditions. I didn't experience that, but it's been said.

I put 29K on a set from February 2019 to March of 2020. I had no problems in all kinds of conditions. I sold them to a friend with 80% of their original tread and still looking great. I opted for bigger tires, and wanted to try the new Toyos.

Those tires look hideous, but not my truck. Probably more functional off road than having 20" wheels.
People get all kinds of stuff for looks. I see crazy setups, with silly tires, on Tacomas that probably never leave the pavement. There's just no logic to things like that other than the owner thought it'd be cool. People have giant mud tires here with insane spaced out wheels, but doesn't mean they go mudding or off-roading (they'd never fit on most trails). Let's hope the people who got it in your area aren't using it for those freshwater beaches.
