I think the marker lights are justified on the Ram TRX. Can't speak for the Titan.

It seems more common with load range "E" versions as best I can tell. It's possible that the rubber compound is different, but I can't confirm that.

If you're in an area where flash flooding is common, there are probably better options, especially if you don't off-road. The interlocking tread design does seem like it would be prone to hydroplaning.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure it's like my experience with the falkens

I'll review the falkens as having never hydroplaned on me, when I really should add the disclaimer of never hydroplaned under reasonable conditions. If I'm in a mood to hoon and take a six inch deep flooded section at 50 miles per hour, of course that tire is going to lift up. A bulldozer would lift up under those conditions. But like most reasonable people, I don't blame the tire when I'm doing something stupid, and thus won't review a tire on how it fails to perform during the previously mentioned stupid shit.

If you read an occasional review about the BFGs hydroplaning, take it with a grain of salt. Maybe the reviewer was doing something stupid and had magical expectations of the tire.

This has been my thought as well. I only had them hydroplane in deeper standing water when I was probably going too fast for the conditions.

That’s good to know. I did plenty of research before deciding to go w/the ko2’s this time instead of the Toyo’s I’m replacing. Never had a problem w/the Toyo’s in wet and they gave good life. Just wish bfg incorporated the injection molded beadlock technology for added security.

This is a separate discussion than this thread, but it comes down to guys with peepee complexes. Only commercial vehicles over 80" wide are required to have identification lights. If it was a requirement for the TRX or Raptor they would be required to have it on the rear of the trucks also. A one ton dualie is 96" wide and as long as it isn't used for commercial use it does not require ID lights. The TRX is only 1.5" wider than a Raptor at 88" wide. Its actually surprising we haven't heard tails of people with "Raptor lights" installed on their Tacoma/4Runner/Prius/Ram/Jeep/Silverado/Tahoe/F150/Tundra/Explorer/Ridgeline/Durango/Rav4/Crosstrek being fined by a DOT officer having a bad day for falsely representing the size of their vehicle. They could play the angle of it being a safety concern for other drivers.

    -FHA DOT - 393.11
    -CA DOT - CHAPTER 2. Lighting Equipment [24250 - 26106]
    -Iowa DOT - 321.392

It was cool when you saw a Raptor a couple times a month but now they produce more Raptors a year than Toyota builds all the TRD Pros combined. And even with so many people driving Raptors like Kia Optimas I still see more non-commercial vehicles with ID lights than I see Raptors.

Okay I'm done. I'll do it to myself.

I have always been under the impression that they were required on the Raptor for its width and if that is the case, then the additional 1.5" of the TRX would give it some justification. If they aren't required then I have no idea. People with aftermarket markers getting citations would give me way too much satisfaction, so I know that it probably won't happen.

On the matter of the scoop on the TRX. I looked into it and it seems like it is actually functional. It's a badass truck.

I think its the first attempt for Fiat to put the Hellcat Hemi in something that has a shot at not scattering the rear end. Everything else has aluminum diff housings. lol
