I have seen people call the truck Terd Gen but I do not understand this nickname, tbh I think the truck needs more power and better transmission but toyota will fix these things going forward I believe. They have been a great company for a long time. Why do people here call it turd or terd gen? Is it just a joke or is it really that much of a problem?

Dont get me twisted I'm not drinking the koolade but I am realistic! So far I have had a recall problem and a few little issue but nothing that makes me absolutely hate the truck.

Mostly because many 3rd gen owners seem to like to shit all over each other in this forum. IMHO.

.. because third gen = tird gen = turd gen.

Ask your friendly neighborhood Hispanic or Eastern European to say "third gen."

    Sounds like..

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Because we're a hyper critical bunch of bastards. To put it another way, it is no worse off than most vehicles, that's good for most but pretty bad for a Toyota.

Pretty much, when the 2nd gen came out it was considered the "2nd" best tacoma by the 1st gen owners.

I always said Toyota "dropped a deuce" with the 2nd gen so I guess it's a little payback.

I guess we're all assholes one way or another.
