My high school Spanish teacher put 4x4 emblems on is 1st gen prerunner back in the day to get past chain controls. His validation was he grew up in Colorado I think where there is real snow and didn't want to be bothered with chains.

Do you know that she put the decal on? Maybe she bought the truck with the decal on it. A lot of dealers add crazy stuff to make extra profit.
If she did indeed put the decal on knowing she didn't have a 4x4, you are dealing with the wrong woman.
If she bought the truck thinking it was a 4x4, you are dealing with the wrong woman.
The only thing that could make this situation right is if she put the decal on to attract guys, and then she waits for the guy to ask her why her truck says 4x4 and its not. Then she knows she is dealing with a real man. If you go on a few dates and never ask about it, she will assume you believe her truck is 4x4 and she will think you are not a real man. I think its time to call her out on it and report back the outcome.

    Because they can.
    It’s their money.
Drive your truck, put your stickers on it or remove them as you like.
    Be happy.

Same reason muscle cars had the engine size printed on the hood. All about the pose.

If you removed 100% of the modifications, from 95% of the trucks on this forum, they could still drive 100% of the places they go without major issues. There is a small percentage that truly need upgrades to get where they are going, but mostly not.

Fashion>Function is one reality of Tacoma World, and the whole “overland” trend in general.

I always wondered why most Cummins drivers must have at least one or more stickers plastered on the truck that says cummins? I mean the rollin coal, stacks/over sized exhaust weren't good enough indicators?

Along these same lines... If anyone has one of those MGM hoods with a scoop and wants a non-scoop equivalent in order to look more authentic, please let me know and I'll gladly help with the predicament. :)

I have the Trd pro grille on my Sr. But all it says is Toyota so :notsure:. I personally wouldnt advertise it with any trd logo or 4 x 4 decals but hey its their truck. You do you, I'll do me.

4 x4 stickers have been shown to add 4 more HP, however, keep in mind that if you add 1 shackle to the truck you will loose 2 HP per shackle...unless it's the weekend then it's 0.5 HP per.......cept during the months we change the clocks...those months the rules don't apply!....just a little FYI...:amen:
