Not sure if being serious or smartass..

FYI, 2nd gens have had frame rust recalls, too.

And yours falls into that category, I might add, for 2005-2008 Tacomas. There's a few threads about it in the 2nd gen section going on right now. Might want to look into it, I am going to get my frame inspected soon as well. If I could get a brand new frame for nothing I will just to know I am safe for several more years. My truck has only 76k original miles so it's long from the end of it's life.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Dude at work just dumped $1,200 (which I thought was cheap) to "rebuild" the tranny for his FORD. Better him than me.

Few folks understand the true "made in america" percentage of any vehicle. I've owned both a Chevy and Ford truck and both were ok. I just prefer a Toyota - Assembled in the USA!

    Spot on George. :)

    F*** unions.

Unions only exist because of unproductive failures who can't compete in the Capitalist private sector labor market.

And even though many Toyotas are assembled in the US, Mexico, and Canada, they're still the products of Japanese engineering.

It's not new, it's not Mexico
There are two types of people in the world. People that love & buy Toyota and people that have something wrong with them.

Granted its pushin 300k and came from a farm before I got it, but my tacos been the biggest money pit over any vehicle I've owned. Over the past 1.5 years I've owned it I've dam near replaced every replaceable part on the thing. Every time I fix one issue another pops up, things gonna be a brand new truck before to long. Sad part is I've already dumped enough into it that id lose my ass if I tried to sell it so might as well keep it and see how far I can push that little 3rz which already sounds like a rods trying to escape on real cold mornings. Don't get me wrong its an awesome little mtn. Rig and i would take a taco over a jeep anyday but I coulda rebuilt a jeep from the ground up for what its cost to keep this thing on the road. Like mentioned earlier in this thread there's just as many uneducated Toyota fanboys as there is "anti" foreign car 'Mericans. There's good and bad in all vehicles no matter what it says on the grille, and sometimes you just get lucky.

Let them hate, I know 1st hand American cars suck, Bought a jeep wrangler before the Tacoma and it caught on fire. Had a Chevy SS Trailblazer before that and I was always at the dealer replacing something. Plus service for Chevy and GM sucks balls compared to Toyota never going back to american.

More likely assembled from components manufactured elsewhere...
and that's fine just as long as it's Japanese design and engineering. :)

I'd never buy a vehicle from a company so poorly managed with such crappy employees that it needed the government to bail them out...

...and that's at least two out of the "big three". ;)
