My last mercedes was a C55 AMG. I loved it, it had kleemann headers and tune, made 410hp/425tq and actually was really reliable (no airmatic suspension or other costly stuff to break). But in the years I owned it, it dropped to 1/5th of the original purchasing cost.

The cost to maintain them isn't that bad, and if you're handy (and don't buy parts from the dealership) it's not bad to maintain. Just expect a huge loss when trading it in or selling it.

FCA is now bringing a plug in hybrid wrangler to the table. But truthfully, I can see a massive advantage electric brings to wheeling.

A little bit longer time to replace shoes but you'll likely only have to do it once. Much better protection from dust coming from front wheels as well.

    Work in progress...
The oil change intervals are getting longer because the emissions are cleaner, fuels are cleaner, and synthetic oils are better. Back when I was running propane in a Dodge 318 there was practically 0 emissions, as the Ca. smog test always confirmed, and checking the oil after 30,000 ,yep 30K 30 big ones 30,000 frigging miles of running two swimming pool routes and Wednesday repairs sometimes towing cars etc on weekends and anyone ever ran a swimming pool route in Northern California knows that the truck is used. 30,000 miles on same synthetic Mobil 1 and the oil was just like brand new. It's the contaminates that dirty the oil, not the miles.

    That is somewhat true...

I have a 2010 RC 5-lug, purchased new in September 2009. Almost 80K miles on the clock and I still have the original rear brakes!

The real question is why don’t iPhone batteries last longer, I mean it’s almost 2018. Don’t like it don’t buy it. My gen2 has a 4.0 if I do recall.
