Grille Guard, Husky Liners, More to come...only got 800miles on it.
My 05 F150 fx4 CC around town on a good day would get 14 tops. Avg around 12-13 most of the time. On the highway the best I ever got out of it was 18. That was putting the speedo on 70mph and rpms just under 2K. My dad's 08 Sierra CC Z714wd gets 14-15mpg around town and his best is around 19.5 or so on a long trip.
My taco cc TRDOR gets 17.5-18 in town all day long. My best highway has be 21.327 and my recent 300 mile round trip I got 21.295 with 2 other 200 pounders with me. I almost cried when I filled it up! No complaints from me. 80% of my driving is in town and my work is only 3 miles from my house. So I'll take 17.5-18 all day long. My gas bill was $100 less last month then previous months. What's crazy to me is my wifes 4runner gets 22-23 around town and 26+ on the highway. Best we got was around 28 on a trip over to Mississippi avg 55-60mph. That was using my math skills not the dummy meter which read 29. I had to check it because I didn't believe it.

I also have a 2000 f250 supercab with 7.3 powerstroke. It has a 6" lift and 35's. It's paid for so I'll keep it for towing the tractor. My around town no load is 14 driving easy or gunning it...i love seeing black smoke! On the highway no load, flat ground, rpms 2000 or less it will get 20-21mpg. Only mods besides the lift is a banks 4" turbo back exhaust, S&B air intake, Diablo programmer set to economy.

Experienced driver would never do that.

He would just scrub a shoulder and shower your EPA-approved paint job with gravel.

I get about 21.5 religiously in the city and about 24 on the highway. I think its great for a pickup with 4x4. My old ranger got like 17, and it was a big piece of crap.

I'd like to know why the V6 Tacoma gets as good of gas mileage as my 4cly 4x4. I just got my best mileage ever at 21.6. I haven't taken the truck on a long trip, so I can't say what my hwy only mileage is.

VVT-I baby. Unloaded it takes lower revs to move a truck of the same weight.

I agree that the more powerful V6 will take less pedal to get the truck moving, but I rarely shift above 3,500 rpm.

21 city, 26 hwy it will get this mileage within 1mpg either way. How is this not better than the V6 drivers who seem to average high teens city and low twenties highway?

Her old ride a 97 F150 xtracab 4x4, 4.6L V8, 4spd auto averaged 12mpg city and 16-17 highway, in the winter the damn thing didn't see the high side of 10mpg.

I've increase my mileage almost 10mpg between the two trucks, now I only fill the truck up once a month versus every two weeks or worse every 10 days.

yeah i'm going to have t agree with you telling everyone you get 22 mpg going down hill is pointless.

Mine is a 4x4. It gets lower gas mileage than the 2.7L 4x2. EPA rating for your truck is 20 city, 26 hwy. EPA for my truck is 17 city, 22 hwy and the guys with V6 Tacomas are getting the same mileage as my truck.
