I came from a 2002 Toyota Avalon, i ride bikes literally every day of my life. I've always dreamed of owning a truck so when it came time to get a new car i decided fuck it, i need some debt in my life... it's the the little things that make it amazing to me, throwing my bike in the back, being able to drive up a curb when someone blocks you in, being able to go on dirt roads and not slam the underneath on the smallest bump. I'll never go back to a car ever again that's for sure.

I got mine because it's one of the only trucks (worth having) with a standard transmission unless you want a diesel which are even becoming hard to find in a stick. I've became a big tacoma fan in my 17months of owning one! The four wheel drive is great, it does lack some power but im not racing towing or hauling anything so ill never need a v8.

    Like, so many.
It's a great daily drive and a very capable off roader. Plus it looks dope.

the Tacoma is an excellent price/value truck. It does 95% of what any truck can do (tow, haul, 4x4, spacious) as well as 50% of what any car can do (good mpg, easy to drive, easy to park, comfortable, creature comforts).

I intitially had buyer's remorse, which you can see through my posts.

But I like it a lot. It looks great, and drives fine to me, and has a manual transmission, which is the most important thing to me.

Plus, I am fan of Toyota in general. The MKII MR2 was the car I drove as a young man. It was also the first car I ever purchased, so I have fond memories of that car.

Out of five trucks over the last 40 or so years my Gen 3 is by far the most comfortable and capable of any I've owned. I love it! After 8 months of ownership I still stop and admire it at the end of the day, never owned any other vehicle that had the same effect.

It's cheap, comfortable, easy to handle off-road, proven drivetrain, everything you'd need and a few extra features, etc... basically the truck that no one thinks is being made anymore.
