Well... recently average is say... $2.20-$2.40 per gallon. Few weeks ago it was $2.10 for like 2 days some some stations.
Is this cheap? I figured it was average.

Good lord, although... you're in canada right? Perhaps your wages/currency value are better? Therefor it might not be as bad?
    Or maybe not? lol

I'm thinking odometer error - have you had a chance to look at tires - full info, including whether P or LT series, and full size data and model/brand? You mentioned well-worn, and that could mean you've lost up to 1.5" in diameter. Odometer is electronic, but is driven by counting # of tire revolutions via speed sensor. Worn tires affect odometer accuracy just like changing tire size.

Around here, which is a fast city driving cycle, 60 mph, stop, 60 mph stop, I can get 18 through multiple tanks of gas. I only get 21-22 out of my 4 banger 2011 Ford Fusion in this type of driving. Now on highway with the cruise control set to 70 I have gotten 22 out of my 4.0 2006 Prerunner, but I get 37 out of my Fusion on the same drive.

OP, have you ever traveled a route (say 10-20 miles) close to another car to see if it reads the same distance traveled after each resetting respective trip meters prior to starting?

$1.99 gallon past month here. I get anywhere between 18-20MPG with my truck. My gas light usually comes on around 320 Miles though and I usually put about 17 gallons in when it clicks.

OP I have a 2011 as well and seem to get above average mileage. When it was stock my average was 20 - 20.3mpg, since 3” lift and 285’s my average is 18 - 18.5mpg. On a recent road trip I got 22.9mpg on a tank, seemed high to me but I did have a tailwind on a fairly straight and level section of highway. Who know, but I’m not gonna complain!

This is hard to believe... I get 15-16 around town, Seattle traffic sucks so there isn't much "highway mileage" to be had...maybe your CPU or whatever is tweeked or set up better than everyone elses. That would piss alot of folks if these engines were capable of 22-23 mpg and it was being "hidden" :frusty:

The best I have ever averaged over a tank of gas was 16.5mpg and that was not going above 65mph and intentionally granny driving. My usual average is 14-15 and when loaded up, 12-13.

I love this tacoma, but this MPG is far worse than most halftons! Good thing I didn’t buy it for MPG!

Hey guys sorry for the huge delay, had a lot of stuff going on.

Alright so I've not tested it against another car. I can arrange to do that though! I will see if I can do that this weekend.

So my most recent fill up is as such.

    Miles Driven: 352.9
Gallons Pumped (Auto stopped, NO top off): 16.198

This gives us an average of 21.78 mpg. I've attached some photos as well.

Good for you OP. Thanks for posting. I never thought the claimed mileage was so high as to be outlandish or ridiculous. These are just very good numbers. Enjoy :D

Although I would very much like to see the same calculation after you have been towing that trailer.

If we go to fuelly.com and pull up any random model, we will see a bell curve: some get lower MPG numbers, the vast majority are in the middle ground, and a few get abnormally high MPG. I'm just saying for all the non-believers... these numbers should not be surprising.

Honestly the weirdest thing to me is that the mileage was just as good when she had ultra worn out spark plugs, I mean they were destroyed lol.
Changed them to OEM ones and it was just as good and just as smooth.
