Why does my filter canister leak after every oil change?

Title says it all. 2018 with the 3.5L. Aftermarket aluminum filter housing. Without fail every time I change my oil it winds up leaking from the canister until I remove it and re-tighten. Yes, I’m replacing the o-rings. Yes, I condition them with new oil before use. Yes, I tighten everything up properly. Yet I have a leak. Happened the one time I took it in for an oil change also, so it’s not just me. Help?

Where did you procure your aluminum housing from? Ones that are not Toyota OEM are quite common to leak and such due to quality control issues. please don't say Dorman..

Out of curiosity is it leaking or is the residual oil thats past the o ring on the cap seeping out? Granted aftermarket oil filter caps can definatly be hit or miss

I’ve had the same issue lately with my aluminum Toyota filter housing and I change o rings and tighten to spec as well. This didn’t happen the first couple years I’d say 6 or 7 times I changed my oil just the last 3 or 4 times. It barely seeps/leaks but it does until I remove it and reinstall it.
