I ordered an Aisin and aftermarket from Amazon, just want to compare if there is a huge diff. Mostly likely going with Aisin.

Have no issues with an Aisin water pump I installed in my IS250 last summer

Btw I did spin it manually there was resistance and wasn’t spinning freely. Any other ways to test?

There is supposed to be a small amount of resistance if you spin it by hand. It should not "freewheel."
The fan clutch consists of a viscous coupling (creates the slight resistance) along with a heat-sensitive coil spring that grabs the hub at higher temps and causes the fan to spin faster, cooling things down. I'm not sure if the spring locks up the fan completely if it gets hot enough.

Seems to be pretty resistant to me, kind of have to force it.

Well that might explain why your engine sounds like a turboprop at higher RPMs. You should be able to move the fan with one finger when it's cool.
