Why does pumping the clutch get my truck to start?

    i read a bunch o responses

    not sure o the year or mileage

    did not see any1 say that pumping the clutch

    may be enuf to pressure the slave cylinder to work

    What’s your brake fluid level at ?
    If your fluids empty , there may not be enough pressure in the hydraulic clutch to fully engage the internal clutch safety , and that’s why pumping works. Pumping quickly builds pressure, just enough to engage.

    haven’t fully evaluated or thought this all the way through. That’s just something that comes to mind as a potential contributor to this strange issue. So, no need to rip me a new one. Just a thought.
