I was going to theorize that the access cabs did not have the door badge, but your statement refutes that. You sure you have an access cab and not a crew......?

I wonder though do they install the badges at the factory or the dealer. Thinking about I think badges are factory. Toyota probably said hey by putting SR5 on every TRD we are spending perhaps 1 gagillion dollars per year for no reason.

Makes me wonder how they'll do the badging on the Gen 3. If they follow trends less but then again there's a certain sales value to badges.

Just curious . . .What kind of wheels came with it - silver or black? My 2015 DCSB SR came with black wheels - not the $600 mag wheels - just basic black. Pix below.
2014 and 2015 Tacoma brochure says SR models come with black wheels.

This is the best damn thread on the whole TW Forum

Mine is a base, which have the 16" steel wheels.
I actually think they look nice with the Silver Sky Metallic. Gonna keep em because I am cheap and think they have a timeless sporty vibe going.

I agree. You have a true BASE with the black wheel well cladding, black bumpers. The SSM and Black combo at any trim level is very cool.
Did you have to order the base Taco or was it on the lot? In this area they are almost non-existent after 2010 model year.

What tires came on your model? My SR5 4x4 came with the steelers and the Dunlop AT20
    245/75/R16.

If the question was to the Dirtmeister they were stock 16in alloy P245/75R16. Dealer wanted to swap them out for the silver standard wheels. He said black wheels appeal more to younger buyers. I was offended. The black wheels make the look of the Taco.

I like the look. I'm still considering mind suspension upgrades at some point.
The steelie wheels look great on silver trucks.
    Mine is currently 100% stock.

Yeah, I love the base look. SSM was not my first choice (white was), but it was the ONLY one on a lot in the area in Base 4x4. Turns out I love the color.
