Agree, and this Taco has the first power drivers seat I have ever owned! I'm spoiled bro, like downtown. .

I would be careful about raising the back of the seat it seems to me you might loose some headroom if you’re tall.
I believe in taking small steps, I only ordered the front for now, it may be just enough.

First, I want to thank everyone for their input. The front seat jacker kit came in today and I put them in before my ride home..... whoo hoo it's like night and day!
I'm sitting IN my seat not ON it anymore and what a nice commanding view of the road as well. After re-adjusting the wheel and mirrors I am astonished at what an improvement this is.
    Thanks again my friends.

The seats in my '21 DCLB suck as well. I'm 6'2", 290lbs and they work but they could be waaaayyyyyy better. My issue with this is that I had a 1985 Toyota SR5 Xtra Cab and the seats in that truck rocked. Great ratcheting headrest, manual lumbar support and the side bolsters adjusted in/out as well. I'm not sure what's going on with the Japanese manufacturers (Honda too, check out the mid 80's to mid 90's Civic/Prelude seats compared to the junk they make now) but they need to go back and look at what they did right then versus what they're doing now. I understand they're trying to fit fat American asses but come on already...

Did you do just front bolts? Or both front and rear bolts?

so what benefit did you get? doing only the front changed the angle and helped set your butt back in the seat, and raised the angle to the gas pedal as well? You mentioned better view of the road, i wouldn't have expected that with only doing the front bolts.
Been thinking about these for a while, sorry for all the questions.

Benefit for me is support under my thighs from the front of the cushion, seating position is definitely raised with doing just the front.
I feel planted in the cushion now not just sitting on top.

My 2003 base cab manual bench seat had the thin support rods under the seat snap in half. Stabbed my hand reaching underneath ,117k miles. Seat sags. Still want a bench seat tho. Is it complicated keeping the back part and attaching the seat part if I find a compatible same bench seat?

Personally I'm struggling as well. Don't think the seat itself is the issue as much as how it's positioned around the cabin and controls. The driver poison is like a car with low ground clearance, close the floor and close to the ceiling.

In and out is clumsy, and I sense that long rides will leave my legs stressed. Really hoping I can get used to it and or find a solution that makes the difference. Not convinced the Jackers will solve both concerns. I think they may help with the leg discomfort, but probably do nothing for the clumsy in and out.

Coming out of a Sprinter its at the other end of the spectrum. I did't like the Sprinter seat at first but it didn't take long to appreciate it. After two sprinters and almost 500K miles I can say that their seat is ideal. Look at the difference in position compared to the Tacoma.

You really should try the Seat Jackers. I'm so comfortable now, I love driving my truck. I need to get another set for my passenger seat.

I tried the seat jackers for two weeks and they weren’t what I was looking for, couldn’t get a good seat position. That being said they are a great product and were easy to install. Anyone looking for a set mine are coming out tonight.

The power seat in the 20+ tacomas are perfect for me but I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum at 5’ 1” 165 lbs

I test drove a few back in 2019 but couldn’t get comfortable on the test drive so I ended up with an F150 that I eventually traded for the Taco.

This thread scared the crap out of me before I bought my Tacoma. But then again I’m only 5’9” and the seat doesn’t bother me one bit. I’m guessing this really only applies to anyone 6’ or taller.
