Looks cool. I had 275's All Terrain on my 2003 without any lift. No problems with those.

I have and love it. Just rolled over 15000 miles on it. Daily driver and pulls my 10 foot landscape trailer great.

Only got the OR because the limited only comes with the ugly brown leather. So I got the OR and will probably never use the mechanical stuff (crawl control).
30k a year on the expressway is all it's going to see.

I am totally smitten with my DCSB SR5 w/tow package.
The basic entune is plenty for me, and for the $28.5k I spent on it, I ain't complainin'.
Hell it blue-books for more than that private party value...

That's pretty much why I got the Offroad. My RAV4 with AT tires did all the offroad trails I've ever needed to be on to get to camping and hunting spots, and I really don't need much more capability than that. Other reasons I wanted the Offroad because I think the black flares look better (make it look more slim IMHO ... black is slimming heh), and I figured the TRD OR model would have better resale value down the road. Plus the interior is nicer than SR5, the heated mirrors are cool, and it has nifty stickers on it that let everyone at the mall know I'm cooler than them.

I bought a SR5 DCSB V6 4x4 back in December. I didn't need or could afford the extra gizmos. Just a four wheel drive truck and tow package was more than enough for me. Oh I haven't had any transmission, sensor, diff or anything else the off-road models have so there's that.

Heated mirrors are on all models I believe.

Any lift on that? Loving the look.

So you must have looked at the TRDOR's to learn you couldn't afford one. I can and have a TRDOR with all the "gizmos" Oh I haven't had any transmission, sensor, diff problems either

No problem with SR5 (or SR, for that matter), but wanted double-cab, 4WD and manual transmission, so it wasn't an option for me.

Man after 10 years I was so happy to finally get out of a manual. It was fun for a while it got old. As a daily commuter, the auto trans is a must for me. Funny to see so many still prefer a manual.

I have an SR5 on order. I'm the same as some of the others where I'm more of a minimalist when it comes to trucks. I probably wouldn't use half of the features the higher trims offer. Its a pavement queen and will probably never see off roading if I'm being honest with myself so I wouldn't use crawl control or those other features. I also went with 4x2 for this reason.

My current car is older and doesn't have a lot of features that the Tacoma comes with so its a step up regardless of trim. I mean it would be nice to have some of the other features, such as heated seats, dual climate control, etc. but I don't have that now so I don't really know what I'm missing out on. The sport was out of the running as I am pretty tall and my head felt cramped with the sun roof.

We also pay cash for our cars so I wanted to spend as little as possible to get the most truck. To me the SR5 won as it has just enough of the tech to feel like a huge upgrade over my current car and doesn't have features I feel like I wouldn't use on a daily basis.

Without sounding too cheesy, it's all about finding what you need/want and going with that. For me it was the SR5, for others its the Sport, OR, Limited or even a TRD PRO. But at the end of the day we are all Tacoma owners .

Huh? I don't think that was a personal attack, he was just saying he didnt need all the gizmos, I felt the same way, I could afford the same DCLB OR but didnt financially it just was a smarter decision to go with the Sr5 and was realistic about what I actually need and use my truck for. And my diff was replaced, its not exclusive to any certain trim or config. But hey got a complimentary 8 yr/125000 mile platinum warranty for my troubles from Toyota, so I'll be hanging on to my "poor man" $30000 truck.

My sr5 has the entune plus with that stupid app. It sucks. I tried to use the app twice for nav and it sucked so bad I uninstalled it from my phone.
