This is exactly what I am talking about. This set up works for this guy and his situation.

^This. My PO was probably swayed by the dealer to have them put in as well, judging by the service records. I wish I had known that they weren't as "cheep and effective" as he claimed.

Can't wait to toss them in the bin.

No I somehow missed the three times you posted that picture. Maybe 2-3 more times will help.

The link simply shows hoe Revteck is different with their spacer lifts.

You are correct, a dealer is not going to repair something for free, that is why it is covered under warranty. They are paid by the warranty department.

It is apparent that you don't know how a factory warranty works. If you alter the product, ie. suspension, and something breaks with the connected/factory components, the manufacturer has the right not to pay for the repair. YES, you DO LOSE WARRANTY if you alter parts on the vehicle before the warranty period is up. The thing is, there are certain mechanics that can overlook certain things that have been done. But they can also be sticklers and tell you that you have to pay for the parts and labor since you altered the parts.

But as I said before, since Revteck worked hand in hand with the engineers at Toyota, then they will cover any parts that may fail while under the factory warranty period. Revteck will cover their parts/Toyota will cover their parts. If you had it done at the dealership, the labor will also be paid for.

I have been selling cars for years, and have seen manufacturers do some crazy stuff both good to the consumer and not so good to the consumer. It depends on the brand, as well as the service writer/technician team or the factory rep., if it gets that far. I saw a Hyundai rep. tell the customer they wouldn't honor the 10/100 engine warranty because he added a CAI, when the problem was clearly a bearing failure at 10k mi. I've also seen Toyota honor a complete engine swap at 85k mi., even though it was clear the owner had not changed the oil in over 35k mi.

Again, it all depends on who you are talking to, and more importantly, how you are talking to them.

I think its hilarious that you asked for peoples opinion on spacers, then argued with them about their opinion.. What kind of lift you get doesn't affect anyone but you.. If you don't want a rougher ride then stay stock. Or maybe you should go to a plush Bently or someshit.

How is a revtek spacer different than any other spacer on the market?

All they did was measure the size they needed and cut it. It's not like a spacer is a complicated piece of design

Maybe you should learn how to read. I started the thread but never argued with them. I talked about my previous setup and what I am looking for. Your suppose to suggest I buy a Prius, get it right.

It is different in the way it is designed. Read the article and you'll see.
