    Definitely, high quality parts play a big roll in the build quality.How skilled and experienced can someone be manufacturing Japanese trucks for $2 - $3 an hour in a third world country.It just does't add up.

    Poll, so far, looks like most agree that quality control is an issue.

    So the mighty TorqueNews and all it's journalistic integrity is saying CR is full of shit? Not saying the conclusion is 100% incorrect, but TorqueNews....? :bananadead:

    Now it would be different if TorqueNews and SheBudgets are on the same page. Then I would believe.

    I don't know about that but this made sense to me:

    The group [Consumer Reports] says the conclusions are a combination of;
    - Results From Its Owner Reliability Surveys
    - Results From Owner Satisfaction Surveys
    - Safety
    - Consumer Reports Road Test Scores

    Yep I agree I didn't vote cause i have zero issues so far with my 2017 OR I love it , no transmission issues no oil leaks out of the rear end no idiot lights on shifts great I don't want Toyota to do anything to my transmission, you can't expect any vehicle to have zero issues there may be some bad reports and some lemons but that can be said with any make and model enjoy your truck if something goes wrong fix it it's under warranty and all the bugs should be worked out before the warranty over and it should be as good or better than any truck out there it's part of the growing pains of a new design enjoy your truck and I will get better or trade it in or sell it a and worry about another problem on another truck.

    While l agree with what you wrote and l have thankfully not had to test my Warranty either. But that seems to be a big issue where guys go into the Dealer and the response is "it is normal" and nothing gets fixed, that has to be a massive source of frustration.
