Maybe suggest to some of the HOA bigwigs that you're looking for some exta cash and will work on their cars for cheap...ya know get on their good side somehow. Then start asking about how you can help the HOA and that you mean well.

Then BAMM smack them up side the head with lawsuits and let your shaddy mechanic jobs bite them in the ass...or you could just try and play nice guy to them for awhile...suck up and get them off your ass.

that is some BS dude.. I would never stand for something like that... I would probably go as far as to set up a stake out for the worthless piece of sh1t who is behind this note and pull the stick out of his ass, only to shove it back in even further.

That sucks man. I usually like HOA's because they do keep a neighborhood looking nice. But to tell you your truck is dirty is definitely too far.

I would do what the other guy mentioned and make sure its not in the CC&Rs. If not, make sure to write them a formal letter back.

My last HOA in Sahuarita, AZ was the same way with the garage door... pretty ridiculous. I got a notice for weeds one time, so I wrote back that before I take care of my weeds, they need to pull the weeds in the common areas... lol -- they didn't like that too much.

My HOA in MD is pretty good and we know the president -- very nice lady. We have all the same ridiculous rules, etc. like all of the mailboxes need to be the same, you can't change the style of the front porch lights, the fences need to be 'picket' style and spaced 3" apart, blah blah blah...

oh well -- at least they're not nazis about it...

Back in the mid 80's, I was renting a townhouse that belonged to a HOA. I remember getting "tagged" for simply having some newspapers put on a covered BBQ that I had by the front door! Those HOA's can be real picky sometimes.....

Next time find out when they're going to be doing their 'property inspections' and be sitting out there naked waiting for them. Then when they stick their head over the wall, wave at them and say 'hello' as though nothing is wrong. Better still, be tagging a woman and both wave when they put their haed over.

LMAO!!! The last place I lived, I had to pull my weeds so I got my YZ 490 and did a shit load of spinning in my yard. I still had to pull some of the weeds the old fashioned way, but it made me feel better. :D

A little bit ago, I was out fixing one of my neigbors out door water faucets, and I got to see the HOA Pres. picking the Dog shit (courtesy of Molly :D) off the hood of his car. I waved and said "Good morning" and gave a big smile. He just glared at me. HAHA!

LOL! you guys are funny. We have an HOA in our sub. Not bad at all. If you take care of your stuff, they don't mess with you!

Plus, my wife is on the board. Now, you see, they won't bother me for a dirty truck, but my truck is never dirty. Unless i just came back from a hunt trip. Just wash the truck and make it look nice. It's all for the good of property and house values.

How does keeping your garage door closed help property / house values

or even keeping your truck clean for that matter...

i could understand the house related stuff, like lighting, weeds etc...but some of their rules are just plain BS.
