I have a very low mileage 2003 xtra cab taco trd pre runner bought last summer. 117,000 km, all maintenance up to date including a new exhaust and front discs and pads done 2 weeks ago. I paid 8500 for it, asking was 10,500. Body in very good shape with no rust, undercarriage super clean and not a rust victim.

I really liked my taco a lot..hit some black ice last week, took out 2 parked cars and my hood, fenders, grill and front bumper. Damage..8000 dollars to the taco alone

I expected it to be a write off, so I started searching for a good replacement, knowing I had to have another taco. Damn, were they hard to find, at a reasonable price. I was prepared to spend 15,000.. After days of searching, the best I could find in my area came in at 16k with taxes. A 2006 trd 4 x 4, with tons of stone chips..and a super rusty under carriage. I put 500 down to hold it and slept on it. Started to have misgivings, but I'm not working so I simply could not spend 20k or more to get better.

It was one of the best days of my life when the appraiser called up and said insurance has authorized fixing your tacoma. I said how much was it worth...he said after extensive pricing checks..13,000!!!!!!

I no longer like my taco..I loveeeee my taco

Edit: pictures of damage to my taco in my gallery
