Why in the flying F### would somebody do this?

I grew up in Plainfield Illinois, when I was about 20 we had a similar kind of flood, people don't understand the power of water, saw a lot of stupid stuff for several days

 

Same reason people keep building their houses on the flood plains of the Mississippi. And in mudslide-prone areas of California. And why people in wildfire-prone areas don't keep the trees around their houses cut.

 

this is what i always think when im in florida and see all the oceanfront houses. Its not a matter of if, but when.

Ha no... Headlights.. Tailgate.. Wheels.. Grill.. Fenders(paint them with bed liner)... There is potential

 

Kind of like when in grade school a 5th grader asked to "see" one of my rare Pokemon cards, next day he moved. Ever since then I can't trust anyone.

 

Its everywhere, not just S.C. As many times as we have seen people drive into lakes on the news, they just keep doing it. It's mind boggling. It only takes a few inches of fast moving water to turn your vehicle into a wannabe boat.

 

Not enough Mods on it to walk right out of that water.

 

All he needs is the keys to give it a try. I certainly wouldn't bet against it!

I'm very lucky that I didn't get anything other that a utterly and completely saturated yard. I guess I forgot I didn't buy a 4x4. And a locking rear diff just helps both tires to dig in. At least it was in my own yard and I didn't drive through flood water.

 

Dude, that was some saturated ground there.
