Provide a factory drivers side grab handle on the left windshield post like they did on the passenger side? It's like grabbing air getting in! Not even an over the window assist handle? My '03 Tundra had both windshield side grab handles.....very convenient! I miss that grab handle the most on my Tacoma!

Many many threads on this already..... its allegedly a impact point for your head and could interfere with the side curtain airbag.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)

I wish they would make 16x8 wheels from factory instead of these shitty 16x7s.

The previous Gen had Airbags in the A Pillar and a Grab Handle so I am not so sure it has anything to do with crash stuff, I kinda think its got more to do with cost cutting but that is just my opinion.

...^^^... I have had maybe a dozen Toyota trucks and several had that grab bar.

That is my MAIN BIT*H on the Tacomas now.

Many pickups have that driver side grab bar with nooo air bag problems.

IMO ... that is PURE BS for Toyota to even say that.

I almost traded my Truck off for the lack of that driver side grab handle.

I love Toyotas, but that is ONE MAJOR F/U TOYOTA. ... :(

With out the addition of a grab handle one could easily slip and fall while entering or exiting the vehicle and their head could impact the door sil.

My thinking is I enter and exit the vehicle far many more times than I am involved in a vehicle collision.

Yeah, it's weird. My 2016 4runner doesn't have on the drivers side either. Glad my 2nd gen taco does.

...^^^... Ditto ... my thoughts all along ... and it's VERY dangerous to NOT have that grab handle too.

For the life of me I cannot figure out why this TOYOTA TACOMA doesn’t have climate control on everything my skin comes into contact with. I don’t understand why there is no retina scan for saved power seat settings. My leather seats look like they come from depressed shitty cows. It’s 2018 why isn’t there predictive steering? I just don’t get it. I paid good money, I want everything perfect, I have had so many European luxury cars that my opinion is important. This thing should have those things, even though it is in fact a Toyota pickup truck. Like, I don’t even know why pickup trucks have to be so “trucky”.

I don't think it's necessary. I'm sitting about 3" in front, 2" in rear higher than stock and I have no issues at 5'8 with short legs. I step right foot into the cab, little hop off left foot to clear the bolster and I'm in. I contemplated sliders to double as a step when I first lifted it until I realized you could hike one leg onto the floorboard and you're able to slide right into the seat. I just don't want to wear out the bolster sliding my weight over it, so I hop.
