Is just me or is everyone starting to trade in their Tacoma for the FJ? FJ's are cool and all but what's the big fuss? Did you new FJ owners get a good trade-in deal for your Tacoma?

I have honestly thought about trading in my tacoma for a fj. I really don't know why, i guess it is because it is a very unique vehicle.

I really wanted to like the FJ when I was shopping for a new truck, but that thing is a coffin inside, and the visibility is catastrophic.

If all you need it to do is wheel offroad and look cool, it's a great vehicle. I needed my truck to do do way more than that, hence the Tacoma purchase. I could have gone either way until I drove both of them...

    Just the basics
I thought about it. Spoke with several dealers. My thoughts included having an RTT. I have since decided the best way to explore is with my taco and a flippac shell. I'm about 4 weeks from delivery and instal. Can't wait.

I really wanted to get one before I bought my taco. But after driving both the Tacoma was just a better drive. And the FJ's have 3 windshield wipers and that was just too weird for me.

Rarely do you see a used sport Tacoma at a Toyota dealership for sale. I usually see lots of FJ's on craigslist and at used Toyota lots. This is why I am holding back on trading in my truck for an FJ. There is a high demand for Tacomas.

i thought about it since my 08 taco was a lemon. i searched fjcruiserforums.com. most guys who did the trade regretted it wether it was from a taco to fj or fj to a taco.FJs only look good lifted and modded. i wasnt impressed with the fj once i test drove it and really scoped it out. way to many negatives compared to positives.

It's the grass is greener syndrome. Been there and done that especially with motorcycles. Trying to wean myself from that disease.

FJ was first on the list before the Taco, but once I realized how big of a blind spot it had, the Taco was then first. You just can't see anything out of that.
