This might be a silly question, but when in nuetral, either rolling forward, or backwards, and I go to shift it into reverse, it kicks me out of the gear, but when I am stationary it goes in just fine. Does this have to do with the transmission moving and it requires you to be stationary to put it into reverse? (I drive a 5-speed btw)

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
That would be the simple reason !

    Pretty sure reverse isn’t synchronized.
Anyways, it’s normal. Stop the truck shift to Reverse.

Whoever "taught" you how to drive a manual transmission should stick to automatics. Hopefully you haven't shortened the life on your transmission. If you still have issues after stopping try replacing the shifter cup first (Marlin sells quality ones); if that doesn't fix it, it's about to get expensive.

I dont have an issue with it at all, I just noticed when I am backing into my drive way and let the car roll slightly forward while shifting it into reverse it isnt happy, and I dont do it often enough for it to be a big issue.

When i push the clutch pedal in first, then it works.:burnrubber:

Never understood why there is no reverse lockout though, like almost any other vehicle has… I accidentally ground reverse once while trying to shift into 4th
